My mother's recipe. I guarantee it is better than any other fluffy frosting recipe you will ever find!
This has always been my daughter Karri's favorite. When Kimberly joined the family it became HER favorite, too. Amazing on chocolate cake.
2 egg whites
1/3 cup clear corn syrup
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons water
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
dash salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix all ingredients except vanilla in top of double boiler over boiling water. You can use a heat safe bowl on top of a pan of boiling water if you don't have a double boiler.) Beat with electric mixer on high until stiff peaks form. Remove from heat and mix in vanilla. Spread on cake while still warm.

Cream Cheese Frosting/Filling
This is what I use (along with pecans) to fill chocolate, spice or pumpkin rolls.
8 ounces cream cheese -- softened
5 tablespoons butter -- softened
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Cream together cheese and vanilla. (Cheese should be soft but still cool.)
Then whip in sugar and vanilla last.
