I have made this ice cream for years and years. So good, and it doesn't call for those icky raw eggs!
2 quarts half and half -- cold
2 tablespoons vanilla
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 pint fruit , fresh, canned or frozen. -- (optional)
Use directions for ice cream freezer. It takes about 40 minutes for this to freeze.
