Red Sangria

Sangria is such a fun and tasty summer drink.  This is a really simple recipe that is easy to change or play with to make it your own.   No matter what you put in it, I promise it will be good!

2 bottles red wine (not expensive, but also not "vinegar"!)
1 cup brandy, sherry or port (whatever feels right at the time)
1/2 cup triple sec
1 cup orange juice
1 cup pomegranate juice
1/2 cup chilled simple syrup. (Mix equal parts sugar and water, heat until simmering and sugar dissolves).

Orange slices
Apple slices
Berries
Grapes

Mix all the liquid ingredients into a 1 gallon glass container with a lid.  Stir in as much fruit as you would like, and stir well.  Store in refrigerator for 24 hours, stirring a few times to re-distribute the fruit.
