My mother discovered this recipe in the early 70's. This topping tastes so much better than plain whipped cream, and it will hold up in the refrigerator for several days. (If the pie lasts that long...)
1 cup whipping cream
4 ounces low-fat cream cheese -- softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix together cream cheese, sugar and vanilla. In seperate large bowl whip cream until stiff. Gradually mix in the cheese mixture.
