My mother's ancient recipe that just never gets old. bacon makes EVERYTHING better...
1 cup kidney beans, canned -- rinsed and drained
1 1/2 cups celery -- diced
2 tablespoons fresh parsley -- chopped
4 pieces bacon -- cooked
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup onion -- minced
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons wine vinegar
1 1/2 cups cabbage -- shredded
Combine beans with cabbage, celery, parsley, onion and crumbled bacon. Add salt and pepper. Stir vinegar into mayonnaise and pour over salad mixture. Toss lightly. Chill.
